Author Guidelines

  1. The journal welcomes submissions presenting original research which has not previously been published or peer reviewed elsewhere. There should be no overlap with any other previously published articles. In case of doubt, contact the Editorial team for clarification.
  2. Submissions are welcome in German or English. Authors are responsible for submitting manuscripts of a high standard regarding language and orthography. Manuscripts can only be accepted as PDF documents submitted via our online submission system. If a manuscript is subsequently accepted for publication, the source file (Word, OpenOffice, LibreOffice or Latex files including auxiliary files) in addition to the PDF file will also be required. There are no article processing charges (APCs) or publication charges for this journal.
  3. Submitted manuscripts should be no longer than 10,000 words or 75,000 characters. For reviews, long reviews can be up to 1,500 words or short reviews up to 500 words.
  4. Since all articles undergo a double-blind peer review process, please make sure the article has been sufficiently anonymized – all indications of authorship in the PDF document (including metadata) must be removed.
  5. In addition to the PDF manuscript, the following information is required: (a) an English abstract of no more than 200 words and (b) up to 6 key words
  6. For initial submission, it is advisable to follow the formatting guidelines of the Journal (Word Template). After acceptance, authors have to format the final document according to the aforementioned template.
  7. When submitting Latex documents, ideally only packages/macros available in up-to-date Latex repositories (CTAN) should be used. If the bibliography has been generated using Bibtex, the bib-and bbl-documents must be submitted in addition.

All submissions must meet the following requirements:
