For articles published after December 2022 the following rules apply:

Authors who wish to publish materials in Survey Research Methods must agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain the copyright for their articles.

  2. Authors permit Survey Research Methods to issue the first publication under a Creative Commons license Attribution International 4.0 (CC BY 4.0).  

  3. Authors may enter into additional contracts for the non-exclusive dissemination of versions of articles published in Survey Research Methods provided that the initial publication in Survey Research Methods is mentioned (for example for subsequent publications in anthologies, books or open access repositories).

  4. Authors warrant that:

    • the article is original and has neither been published in any other journal nor is under consideration by any other journal.

    • the article does not infringe any existing copyright or any other third party rights.

    • the article contains nothing that is unlawful, libellous, or which would, if published, constitute a breach of contract or of confidence or of commitment given to secrecy.

For content published between  January 2021 and December 2022 the following copyright statement of Survey Research Methods applies:

  4. Authors warrant that:

Copyright for articles published in this journal is retained by the authors, with first publication rights granted to the journal. By virtue of their appearance in this open-access journal, users can use, reuse and build upon the material published in the journal but only for non-commercial purposes and with proper attribution.
