ADVENTURE PURSUITS: AN AXIS FOR BIOMECHANICS, TECHNIQUE AND TECHNOLOGY

AbstractAdventure pursuits and biomechanics are two fields that have broad areas of overlap and much to offer each other in the way of opportunities created through research. This invited paper will outline experiences of kayaking the length of the Antarctic Peninsula and some of the technological innovations developed. Examples of adventure pursuits questions that have been addressed by research projects will be outlined.
