Abstract

PURPOSE AND METHODS The purpose of this study was to investigate the jerk techniques of female weight lifting champions at the National Games using synchronous filming with two PHOTO-SON-ICS 1PL high speed cameras. Results showed that: (A) as compared with weight lifters, the raising distance of the bar exceeded the normal range, which produced a larger useless work, indicating a higher potential for technical improvement in the females; SB (B) the comparison among the five demonstrated that Xing Fen had a suitable raising distance, thus a smaller dropping distance, with better techniques while Huang Xiaoyu had a better first pull and larger raising and dropping distance of the bar; and (C) the optimum knee joint angle of first pull and the range of angle movement depended not only on the functional status the knee muscle but also related to the posture of the whole body and the total weight loaded.
