Romanian pluractional adverb 'tot' and evaluation plurality

Abstract

The paper proposes an explanation of the event internal – event external distinction within the class of pluractionals by resorting to the notions of encapsulation and decomposition, as defined in Dynamic Plural Logic. Two Spanish pluractional periphrases, incremental ir and frequentative andar, will be placed in the first category, while Romanian pluractional adverb tot will be placed in the second.
