Vol. 28 (2023): The Proceedings of the LFG'23 Conference

This year's Conference on Lexical Functional Grammar was held in hybrid format at the University of Rochester, USA. The program committee for LFG23 were Tina Bögel, Agnieszka Patejuk (until January 2023) and Stephen Jones (from January 2023). We would like to thank them for coordinating the review process and working with the local organiser, Ash Asudeh, to put together this year's programme. We would also like to thank the executive committee without whom the conference planning would not have been possible.

Ash Asudeh was officially the sole organizer of the LFG'23 conference; however, local attendees also observed Dan Siddiqi of Carleton University carting around diverse sets of conference materials and fighting (successfully) with the available technology over the days of the conference. As such we would like to thank both him and Ash Asudeh for the organization of a very memorable conference with a social program as varied and enjoyable as the offering of talks and posters at the conference. Further thanks go to the doctoral student helpers Veronica Burrage, Stephanie Richter, Jack Valinsky (University of Rochester) and Frances Dowle (University of Oxford).

As usual, submission to the proceedings was open to all papers, posters, workshop presentations and invited talks given at the conference. Some of these presentations were not submitted to the proceedings. For these, we suggest contacting the authors directly. We note that all of the abstracts were peer-reviewed anonymously (double-blind reviewing) and that all of the papers submitted to the proceedings underwent an additional round of reviewing with the possibility of rejection from the proceedings. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all of the anonymous reviewers for the donation of their expertise and effort for detailed and constructive reviews in what is often a very short turn-around time.

This year continues the transition of the proceedings from CSLI to Konstanz. The proceedings are now hosted by the Communication, Information, Media Centre (KIM) of the University of Konstanz, whose deep commitment to Open Access includes providing an Open Journal System (OJS) infrastructure. We are moving the LFG Proceedings ISSN number to Konstanz this year and are publishing under the newly founded University of Konstanz open access press PubliKon.
