AbstractThe following paper describes the basic outlines of the United States Olympic Training Management System Research Project, of which the author is currently director. Following the project description, various mathematical relationships between training and performance that have been researched and analyzed by the author during the past two decades and that serve as a theoretical foundation for the Olympic Training Management System's development are discussed.
